As a member of IGA (Independent Grocers Alliance), a worldwide network of family oriented retailers, we share a common belief that a good grocery store is a community center, owned and operated by the people who know it best—its citizens.

Mid-Towne IGA is owned and operated by Roy Kohrs and his family, whose tradition of selling groceries began more than 35 years ago. In 1984, Roy and three others formed a corporation and opened Mid-Towne IGA. The store has become a family tradition. Roy's son Scott, and daughter Julie Dampier and her husband Bob, are co-owners and play large roles in the everyday operation.

The store has been successful for over 20 years and is a favorite among many shoppers. During a past survey Mid-Towne IGA was voted the #1 grocery store by readers of the St. Charles County Suburban Journals.

The Kohrs family and the employees of Mid-Towne IGA work hard each day to continue building on the foundation of trust that we have established with the citizens of St. Charles and its surrounding communities.
